We’ve just published an article reporting on the artist duo MES’s residency in Los Angeles.

MES, an artist duo consisting of Arai Takeru and Tanikawa Kanae, who will present an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) in 2026, conducted a research trip in Los Angeles from June 23 to 30, 2025, together with curator Tsukamoto Mari(Curator, The Museum of Art, Kochi). The visit included a site visit of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, as well as visits to Little Tokyo, the Manzanar National Historic Site, and fire-affected areas in Pacific Palisades. This travel journal reports on their eight-day stay during a period of social change following the launch of the second Donald Trump administration.
