About

JUMP: Global Collaboration Program for Emerging Artists and Curators from Japan is a program to encourage emerging Japanese artists and curators to develop their international presence.

Three teams, a total of seven artists and curators, conduct research as the basis for creating and exhibiting works in three cities that have historical and cultural ties to Japan: Lisbon, Los Angeles, and Sydney.

This program is a part of the Supporting Creator Activities, Japan Creator Support Fund established at the Japan Arts Council with a subsidy from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan. The National Center for Art Research (NCAR), an organization within the Independent Administrative Institution National Museum of Art, is implementing the JUMP program in the contemporary art category.
